DV Labs is a remote team of 30+ members dedicated to research and software development, striving to create a credibly neutral, trust-minimized infrastructure layer for web3. Formerly known as Obol Labs, we enhance the security, resilience, and decentralization of the Ethereum network through our work on distributed validators (DVs).

The Products

DV Labs develops and maintains three essential products:
- Charon: A Golang-based middleware client that enables multiple nodes or parties to collaboratively run validators in a fault-tolerant manner.
- The DV Launchpad: A web interface designed for launching and managing Distributed Validators.
- Obol Splits: Solidity contracts that facilitate the formation of Distributed Validators by allowing the ETH bond and validator rewards to be split among multiple parties.

Supporting the Obol Collective

DV Labs also supports the Obol Collective, a community focused on scaling Ethereum by enhancing the security, resiliency, and decentralization of the consensus layer through distributed validator development and deployment.

Mission of the Role

A Product Owner (PO) bridges cross-functional teams and the overarching business strategy by:
- Vision: Setting the direction based on trends, user behavior, and stakeholder feedback.
- Backlog Management: Prioritizing features, enhancements, and fixes for our project.
- Requirements: Transforming high-level needs into detailed and tailored user stories.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborating with UX/UI design, marketing, analytics, and sales teams to align product strategy.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partnering with departments to ensure cohesive product development.
- Review: Assessing completed tasks against standards and user-centric design principles.
- Release Decisions: Determining the rollout of features and updates to maximize user engagement.
- Feedback Loop: Regularly collecting insights from users and cross-functional teams to optimize the product.
- Alignment with Strategy: Ensuring the product direction aligns with business objectives.
- ROI: Striving to maximize the business value derived from product initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead your squad’s full product development cycle from concept to launch.
• Coordinate with other teams to align product strategies with company goals.
• Translate product needs into user stories and design guidelines.
• Guide the development team alongside the Engineering Manager, ensuring the timely delivery of product enhancements.
• Foster an agile and collaborative environment, promoting innovation and best practices.

Requirements

• 3+ years as a Product Owner.
• Proven leadership with a track record of delivering projects on time and budget.
• Experience with blockchain solutions or DApps.
• Skilled at working with international, remote teams across various time zones.
• Innovative, self-starter attitude with a readiness to lead and own projects.
• Ideal time zone from GMT-5 to GMT+3.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Ethereum Layer 2 projects.
• A technical background in fields related to distributed systems engineering or cryptography to better understand Obol and Distributed Validator Technology.
