What We Are Doing

We are developing derivative infrastructure to enable Digital Assets to transform into the Internet Bond via delta-neutral derivatives positions, creating the first crypto-native, rewards-bearing savings asset: sUSDe. We believe that creating a synthetic dollar, independent of existing banking infrastructure, is the most crucial problem to solve and the biggest opportunity in crypto today. USDe will be the initial step in a larger ecosystem of products, including fixed and floating rate internet bonds and composable repo leveraged markets.

We are seeking a seasoned Analyst from within a trading organization to join our team. This person will enhance the team's capacity for 24/7 portfolio visibility and boost resources for deeper data gathering, analysis, modeling, and portfolio management.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced individual to monitor and maintain the protocol's collateral pool positions. These positions, first, maintain the $ value of the Synthetic Dollar (USDe), and second, generate yield for the Internet Bond (sUSDe). You'll analyze the portfolio, identify areas of over and under performance, hypothesize solutions, quantify potential outcomes, and report these findings and suggestions to the team for action.

You will work closely with the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) to execute the trading strategy, ensuring correct implementation. Also with the Head of Risk to maintain the portfolio within acceptable risk parameters, and with Quant Engineers on data gathering and analysis tasks. Our small team collaborates closely, with each member making a significant impact.

This role is ideal for a seasoned Front, Middle, or Back Office Analyst within trading, eager to expand their scope and responsibilities across the full spectrum of trading activities. You’ll be doing all this for the most disruptive Web3/DeFi team in USD denominated digital assets today.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee actions performed by the automated portfolio management system, like trades and collateral management/movements—understand the reasoning behind them.
• Monitor the overall system health, understand service responsibilities, and know how to escalate potential issues.
• Track portfolio statistics and metrics to ensure the portfolio stays within risk limits.
• Check smart-contract balances and Gas costs.
• Assist with system functionality improvements.
• Aid in the analysis of various market events for future improvements.
• Support in creating performance and event reports for senior management and/or external stakeholders in an incremental style, from raw versions to detailed analyses.
• Potentially assist with manual portfolio adjustments and the handling of OTC trades.

What We’re Looking For

• Professional trading experience, knowledgeable in: Order management, Efficient position building, Aversive selection, Hedging techniques.
• Experience in trading crypto derivatives.
• Business or engineering background.
• Diligent and precise mindset.
• Ability to think algorithmically.
• Proficient in Python (use data frames, retrieve data from a DB, visualizations, access HTTP APIs, etc.).
• Proficient in SQL (select, insert, where, group by, and aggregations, etc.).
• Comfortable with the Linux terminal.
