Job Description

Logos is a movement supporting the development of the decentralized web. Logos technologies lay the foundations for a freer internet, enabling communities to evolve into network states. Each protocol in the Logos stack aims to empower users while upholding civil liberties and fundamental freedoms.

The Project:

Nomos is a sovereign, modular, zk-encrypted network of blockchains—the trustless agreements layer of the Logos stack. The forthcoming Nomos network will provide a universal infrastructure layer for communities and aspiring network states to develop social, governance, and financial services that uphold their community members’ fundamental rights and values.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Engineer, you will:
- Implement designs as specified by the Nomos research team.
- Contribute to designing new protocol solutions.
- Design, specify, and build distributed systems.
- Create proof of concepts to explore implementation solutions.
- Develop production-ready code and perform optimizations.
- Understand academic papers to evaluate, adapt, and implement the findings.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging ideas in blockchain, p2p networks, distributed systems, cryptography, Zero-Knowledge proofs, MPC, etc.
- Conduct preliminary theoretical and practical performance analyses and present the results.

Ideally, you will have:

• Proficiency in coding with Rust—this is a MUST-have requirement!
• Experience in complex Distributed Systems in production, preferably in byzantine settings (blockchain) or similar. Alternatively, experience in cloud computing systems, especially at the systems level complemented with advanced Rust knowledge.
• Strong background in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Effective communication skills, eager to share work in various contexts such as internal and public presentations.
• Strong interest in privacy, censorship-resistant technology, and open protocols.

Bonus points:

• Research experience in Distributed Systems, ideally byzantine settings.
• Experience working for an open-source organization.
• Knowledge of cryptography.
• PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related area.
• Solid knowledge of mathematics, particularly in probability and statistics.
