What do we do?

Chainflip is an efficient swapping protocol that enables users to exchange native assets across various blockchains with excellent pricing. Unlike typical bridges, Chainflip eliminates the need for wrapped tokens through Multi-Party Computation (MPC) and Threshold Signature Schemes (TSS). This results in aggregate keys being controlled by a permissionless network of 150 Validators. These Validators manage simple smart contracts/wallets, known as Vaults, across multiple blockchains. Furthermore, we have developed our own substrate-based, application-specific blockchain, the Chainflip State Chain, which tracks balances, processes events, and executes instructions.

Our team, which has been growing for 4 years, consists of 30 members. While our main office is in Berlin, we advocate for flexible work schedules, promoting both in-office collaboration and remote work.

What’s the Job?

We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer wanting to transition to Web3 within the Product team. While experience in Typescript is ideal, we welcome those with full-stack engineering knowledge and an interest in Web3/Blockchain.

The Product team is a cross-functional team consisting of five Engineers, a UX Designer, and a Product Manager. Due to this setup, communication and teamwork are of utmost importance.

Based on your interests and skills, you will focus on:

• State Chain Tooling: Developing our Block Explorer and other tools needed for a decentralized blockchain project.
• Swapping Experience: Enhancing the user experience for our trading system, integrating with partners to support more blockchains and assets while maintaining optimal pricing.
• Chainflip SDK: Advancing our Javascript SDK to become the default solution for cross-chain trading, simplifying protocol integration.

Regardless of the specific product you work on, you’ll encounter the fascinating trade-offs and constraints of decentralized systems and blockchains.

The Process

• Technical chat with our Tech Lead followed by a take-home challenge, concluded with a 1-hour code interview.
