Conduit – The Onchain Compute Company

At Conduit, we’re creating the rollup-native cloud platform that will scale Ethereum. Crypto innovators have been held back by a lack of onchain compute. Without the ability to process a high volume of transactions quickly and affordably, onchain applications and ecosystems cannot deliver high-quality user experiences.

Rollups have emerged as the solution to this challenge. Just as servers collaborate to scale compute in web2, rollups can scale onchain compute in web3. However, building and managing your own rollup is complex and time-consuming. That’s where Conduit steps in. As the rollup-native cloud platform, Conduit marries web2 engineering best practices with web3 rollup technology to simplify launching and maintaining your own chain. By streamlining infrastructure and making onchain compute plentiful, similar to AWS and GCP for web2, we can unleash the next wave of innovation in the crypto ecosystem.

Since launching in 2023, the Conduit platform has experienced tremendous growth. We operate the largest chains in production, including Proof of Play, Zora, Aevo, and more. This extends to over 200 chains across mainnet and testnet, with over $1B in total-value-locked (TVL). About the Role

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with the CEO to develop, maintain, and expand the rollup stack offerings and customizations enabled by our leading Rollup-as-a-Service platform. You’ll create custom precompiles and whitelisted contract deployers that introduce entirely new or more efficient functionalities, and you’ll assist in broadening our support for emerging L2s. We value individuals who can rapidly gain a deep technical understanding, quickly create proof-of-concepts to validate novel approaches, and enjoy being self-directed in identifying and solving critical problems.

As a Software Engineer, Rollup Product you should:

• Have a strong background in distributed systems, cryptography, and network protocols.
• Have some experience hacking on various rollups, understand the underlying components, and have opinions about the trade-offs of those components and platforms.
• Have some experience with hacking on EVM node software.
• Have a deep understanding of the EVM and how external tooling integrates with it.
• Be familiar with multiple programming languages, including but not limited to Golang, Rust, and Solidity.
• Contribute to defining Conduit’s product strategy and roadmap with the rest of the team.

• Can debug problems across the stack, such as networking issues, performance problems, or memory leaks.
• Own problems end-to-end and are willing to pick up any knowledge necessary to get the job done.

Our tech stack

Our infrastructure is built on Kubernetes, Postgres, and Cloud Tasks on GCP. The products on top utilize a mix of React, Javascript/Typescript, Go, Rust, and Postgres. While we value experience with these technologies, we primarily seek engineers with strong technical skills and the ability to swiftly learn new tools and frameworks.
