Nature of the Role

We are seeking a Compliance Advisory Senior Associate with profound expertise from traditional financial markets who can seamlessly adapt to the entrepreneurial, varied, and highly dynamic nature of Wintermute’s operations, as well as the unique challenges and opportunities in the cryptocurrency space. The Senior Compliance Associate is entrusted with ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, laws, and regulations across various jurisdictions where Wintermute operates, alongside providing guidance on these matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Head of Compliance within the compliance domain, handling day-to-day responsibilities and managing projects.
• Develop, maintain, and deliver compliance-related materials, including policies, procedures, manuals, and training resources, aligning them with regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Review and approve marketing content, ensuring alignment with financial promotion regulations.
• Prepare and organize compliance files, reports, and records.
• Support compliance and regulatory projects, including authorizations, transaction monitoring, and surveillance.
• Provide advice and guidance to business and support functions on matters related to conduct and compliance.
• Investigate and analyze automated transaction monitoring alerts.
• Engage in regulatory horizon scanning, including interpreting regulations, scoping and analysis, and implementing regulatory changes.
• Review new publications from regulators.

Hard Skills Requirements

• Minimum of 6+ years of compliance experience, preferably in a proprietary trading or crypto-native firm.
• Strong knowledge of relevant regulations.
• Experience in proprietary trading, financial services, and/or cryptocurrency.
• General knowledge of regulations in other jurisdictions, ideally Singapore and/or the US.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Although fully remote candidates are not eligible, we support significant flexibility in terms of working from home and hours.
