Overview

We are on the lookout for an experienced Senior Director of Finance to spearhead our finance business partner efforts across revenue, product, and engineering. Reporting directly to the Flipside CFO, this role will entail close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including business development, product, engineering, and other finance leaders to advance your initiatives. With our ongoing investments, scaling endeavors, and developmental projects, this role places you at the center of our most critical growth undertakings.

Responsibilities

Product + Engineering Finance

• Serve as the finance-product integrations expert, handling payment rails, tax, operational payment processes, and integration with node operations.
• Conduct financial analyses and modeling for new product development, including cost-benefit analysis, ROI projections, and break-even assessments.
• Work alongside product and engineering teams to synchronize product roadmaps with financial goals and resource allocation.
• Manage costs and forecasts associated with COGS: Snowflake, AWS, node operations, and data pipelines.
• Prepare and present financial reports, KPIs, and insights to executive leadership and stakeholders concerning finance and product development.
• Support the accounting team with payments, reporting, data for accounting, and processes related to community payments.

Revenue Finance

• Analyze revenue opportunities from a financial perspective, including revenue projections and deal financial terms.
• Lead finance aspects for community payment volumes and processes, collaborating closely with partner teams and other finance leaders.
• Monitor and report on financial performance of existing partnerships to ensure adherence to contractual obligations and identify optimization opportunities.
• Develop and implement pricing strategies for products and services to enhance revenue growth and profitability.
• Track and report on revenue performance, partner margins, and identify trends, proposing corrective actions when necessary.

Qualifications

• Experience in Crypto/Web3 is essential; must be passionate and curious about the Crypto/Web3 sector both personally and professionally.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance, with expertise in partnership and revenue finance, and product finance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• Experience in fintech and/or payments, with emphasis on being the SME within a growing fintech product stack.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities, with the capability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, effectively conveying financial information to stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience in FP&A, financial operations, and delivering as a business partner to revenue and technology leadership.
• Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
